

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), an association addressing the interest of more than 120,000 doctors and colleagues of Indian beginning, has wanted to respect their country on the event of Indian’s 75th commemoration of Independence with an extraordinary festival on Capitol Hill at the US Senate Hart Building, in Washington DC on September 21 according to a press release.With Indian Americans doctors playing important roles in shaping healthcare policies and programs at the federal and state level, AAPI is increasingly recognized among lawmakers and federal and state governments in the US.
“We are proud to be part of this historic celebration of India on Capitol Hill, where we will have an opportunity to exchange views and express our concerns with dozens of US lawmakers, who will come to be part of the celebrations.” said Dr. Ravi Kolli, president of AAPI.
“Indian American doctors have made indispensable commitments to the medical services field,” said Dr. Sampat Shivangi, chair of AAPI’s regulative board. “As doctors, we provide critical care to patients from rustic and metropolitan networks the nation over. Indian American specialists are assuming a critical role in filling the cross country doctor lack.”
Dr. Anjana Samadar, president-elect of APPI said AAPI has been serving India and adding to the compelling medical care conveyance in the US and in India. With regards to the mission, the festival on the Hill will give us a discussion to work with and empower Indian American doctors share our interests with the legislators in quest for our yearnings in issues connecting with expert and local area undertakings.
Other than interactive session with US legislators during the occasion at the Hill; a gathering and supper will be facilitated by Indian Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
